I got a bit of hate before for doing this but...

Back in the summer of '14 you may of happened upon "The Phasefire Camphead", essentially this was my answer to listening to boc's music in reverse whilst also adding particular qualities to it to help make the experience more tempo'd and enjoyable. Due to the "swishy" sound you get from reversing most percussions, and boc's tendency to do this normally in their music anyways, often blended in with normal sounds, I thought eh, I'm bored, lets just reverse/timestretch these tracks and blend them with normal percussions, surely itll be a slight improvement to the experience when listening in reverse for all of the incredible backmasked secrets that lie just below the surface?

and so under the pseudonym: "Ctrl All Del" I began working tirelessly, after several sweaty sleepless nights, I finished it in it's entirety. some tracks were just simple reversing with added drums and some I delved into a bit deeper, manipulating them for easier listening. now as you can expect, a few people got a bit upset (you might even be reading this) and of course I understand why, boc is practically the holy grail to some and shouldnt be messed with, I empathized with that, but I think they may have misunderstood what it was I was trying to accomplish. This originally was supposed to be a very personal project and I had no intention of even sharing it but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would and so decided to set my social anxiety and fear of ridicule aside and share it with others, and maybe perhaps, someone else would "get it".

that all being said, others rather enjoyed and praised the idea and it felt great to be commended for the work I had put into it. Fredd-E even shared it, much to my surprise. At the time, I was still very much in my infancy of music production and in hindsight, the current me may have scoffed at the level of skill I had at that time, going in, but overall it wasn't really that difficult, just time consuming, mostly it was a very magical experience. I felt like I had connected with the music more than I ever had before. Like discovering hidden rooms and passageways in a labyrinth you have known intimately thoughout your life. It was really something. Thinking back, it saddens me that I let the hate and negativity stop me from continuing to do it especially considering it started out as a personal fun hobby project.

Most of the tracks are gone forever but a few tracks can still be found on youtube and Ill link them below. Again, keep in mind, I was still learning electronic music at this time and even now I can hear a bit of fumbles here and there but overall most of these tracks survived because people tended to enjoy them- at least for the most part (uploading them to other sources), This was over 5 years ago so Id like to think Ive improved since then. I even started on another for Geogaddi, calling it Eogidda and had quite an interesting reversed and timestretched Dandelion track that I had made but all of Eogidda is gone as well too. I just didnt enjoy the negative comments much and felt like it was more hassle then it was worth to keep going on with it after awhile, not to mention TCH was also originally all I had wanted to do this with. Here are some of the tracks that have survived the times:

The Macridge Quarie:

This Bird Down Slow:

Bet'sher Head:

Dreamkey Chromacoat:

Eye See Through Oscar the Red:

Bye Saturday Sun:

Here is the original thread from '14 as well as some mentions if your curious to look more into it.

positive mention (though I disagree, it was a nice gesture to say):

I now go by the Pseudonym: " Cpektir " and make my own music now instead of just reinterpreting others. over the years, Ive grown and Im proud that I stuck with it. Of course it is heavily inspired by our favorite duo so If interested, feel free to look me up on Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud, Bandcamp and most other music platforms.

Thanks for listening to my story, thought it was a pretty neat that it all happened so thought Id share a cool memory and experience on this forum that I had had with those of you that may not have been present at the time or missed out on it.

ps: hopefully we get that new boc album announcement soon.
happy cycling my friendly strangers

Bertshed and This Down Slow Bird are your peak work.
Oscar made me laugh halfway through.

Bertshed was only worth saving if you could mind.

Keep on doing your thing, Cpektir. Fiddling with and exploring the things I love is how I got into all this nonsense, myself. Wouldn't be here without it. :)

Interesting way of stating your opinion. There are many people that enjoyed This bird down slow, bets her head and the macridge quarie at the end of the day it really just comes down to personal taste which is subjective. I'm probably not going to let one guy decide on whether or not they were worth saving though. I enjoy them so I'll be keeping them.

That's nice. I made a little remix/medley of aquarius over the beats of chinook and then some. I would upload it to soundcloud but i think you should know about schizophrenia. And if not there's allways the devil and what not. You know? Now you do! Seek and ye shall find, twoism hehe

Your mix of Sherbet Head is very creative i'll give you that much.

Aside from that, the test was to see if you could overcome fear and anxiety and conqouring it while uploading remixes of someone elses music you've done? Instead of your own? Because, in fact you did. But, why not do it on a professional medium. CD for instance, vinyl if at all costs.

Wow uh wow. oh this is the internet. Wow lets break the law wow i broke the law cos the internet is a place i can stick my nose into
wow all that reading and i still decided to break the law
wow
oh wow

After you said, someone else would get it.

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

You have to be joking if you think I am going to take anything you have to say seriously. Go find another board to troll.
