I was listening to the website samples earlier and noticed that "Trails" is the exact same tempo as "Zoetrope". I feel as though Trails may actually be the trailing sound playing throughout Zoetrope. Most of you guys seem to pick up on these things better than I do, so lets see what you think.


Completely random side note, but I was reading an old BOC interview earlier and they said when they were kids they made short films and also made the music for the short films, then they said they began making music for films that weren't even created yet. Which made me think that is what inspired Tomorrows Harvest, and that may also be why they said one of their oldest tracks is on that album. Anyway, they mentioned in the interview they were inspired by Jan Svankmajer, so I searched for the name in youtube and came across this. Beyond trippy.

I never noticed the similarity between Trails and Zoetrope... and yeah Svankmajer also did a version of "Alice in Wonderland", an art teacher showed us that one in school. Very surreal, strange films but very unique.

I wish I had never seen this. But at the same time It feels refreshing

Also, technically a zeotrope .. the illusion works if you play it fast enough. which I just tried on zeotrope. aside from a small melody I'm not seeing anything of relevance. but if anyone cares to try themselves at it. do so!
