Since R35TT isn't an official release but rather a bootleg / mystery mixtape, we don't know what the actual cover would look like. I've noticed that most downloads and uploads use this fanmade image:



I figured everyone adopted this as the cover although me personally I never really liked it that much, but I once came across this one which is great:



And I thought... "wouldn't it be fun if more people tried to create their custom covers?" I've once seen people do this with the leaked/bootleg tapes of the band Duster, which share a story similar to the one of R35TT, many users would post their own versions of the covers in a thread.

So I was really bored and decided to create one for R35TT, the black lines were added to show where you'd fold it if it were a cassette J-Card.



I'm quite terrible at editing so I wanna see what sort of ideas you guys can come up with, if you are feeling creative or have nothing better to do, give it a shot!

i think yours honestly fits the mood of the r35tt better than any other one i've seen. the mood, for me, is mysterious and strange, and that image just captures that.

I got the image from bocpages, I actually don't know the origin of it so I suppose it must have been from their old website, (if anyone knows let me know ) also I forgot to add this to the original post but I also made a simpler version with just "b.o.c" inspired in Closes Vol.1 and I'd like to see someone else try the same.

A friend of mine had the idea of creating a circle sticker like the ones you usually see in digipaks, etc, so he gave me the .png and I decided to play a little, this is what I came up with:



Now this is only a proof of concept so forgive me for the rough editing (I'm literally only using paint.net for this ) but I thought It'd be cool if you would later add a paper sticker to label the tape like this, maybe in beige colour?

Hands down the best submission I've seen so far.

With the return of the cassette tape trend, I do wonder if whatever BOC releases next will ride that wave.

In similar way to how they released official merchandise to combat the bootlegs a few years back, I can see them potentially doing that here to squash the early work bootlegs that are constantly floating around.

You know, I've entertained the idea of the next album releasing in every format including cassette, Aphex Twin did it with the Cheetah and Collapse EPs, OPN did it with Magic Oneohtrix Point Never, and I'd love to have a BoC album on tape too. To my knowledge only promo copies for MHTRTC, Geogaddi and IABPOITC exist in this format, it would also be great to see these albums officially released on cassete again for everyone around the world.

I would drop so much money on some official cassettes of BoC albums.

Allot has changed in how people look at cassette tapes since the Geogaddi days. Mainly that there's more of a market for them now.

I can't see Warp sleeping on this. However, should the next release somehow not have one, then you can be certain the fan/bootleg community will step in.

In the end I ended up using the one I found on google images, whoever made it: you are the best





The only thing I added was the panel with the little images, all of them can be found in bocpages in the Pictures section, here's the .png if you want to print it aswell:

That's easily my favorite, that fits a lot better than the other stuff I've been seeing. Totally in with the vibe, props. I'm guessing your track listing is just some speculation?

yep, all just speculated names. they're all a reference to some obscure things, like old home computers, books on canadian eskimos, stuff likes that.

I made this one



tried to make something that matches with OTV2 and AFOT, but still giving it a different design, with the idea that it was an unofficial bootleg that we don't know who compiled (and also because boc handwriting is hard to pull off)

doesn't have a cover, and that's because I was inspired by tri repetae a little bit, empty from the outside, other than the boc and music70 text, but you can still see some images through the transparent case, making you interested into opening the case

I certainly didn't put much effort as the others here, but at least it looks good on a case
