I've been listening to "Christ" lately, he was an artist of the "Hexagon Sun" collective to which the Boards of Canada duo belongs, he belonged to the collective when it was just starting and collaborated until 1995.
The album I have listened to is "Blue Shift Emissions" and has two songs that catch my attention because of a similar sound to Boards of Canada but with small differences, these songs are "blue shifty missions" and "making a snow angel", he has other really interesting works that I recommend to listen in his Bandcamp, I wanted to share this information with whoever didn't know this artist and also to recommend artists that are related to Boards of Canada.

I'm a huge Christ. fan too - my favorite release by him is probably Distance Lends Enchantment to the View, but they're all good.
He really only reminds me of BOC in a couple of ways- the equipment he uses, the subliminal vocal samples, and the fact that his music seems to take me to an otherworldly place (though not the same place as BOC takes me). Other than that, I think his style is very distinct from BOC.
Another favorite electronic artist of mine is Casino Versus Japan - my second top artist according to Last.fm. His music is compared to BOC a lot, but once again, the primary similarity between them is that they both take me to another world. Oh yeah, CvJ also sometimes adds small interludes to the beginning or end of his songs like BOC used to.
Top releases I'd suggest by Casino Versus Japan are Night On Tape (somewhat creepy) and Go Hawaii.

There is a guy who makes old style electronic library music today... Help me out, something with Advisory in the name. Feels like them.

The Advisory Circle is excellent. My top recommendation of theirs is Ways of Seeing, their most recent album (2018, I think).

Some references that look like BOC, some do not even hide a little.
With samples from BOC
James Holden said BOC was very important in his artistic construction
