Thank you! I meant to reply to you in the other thread- really appreciate the kind words. I keep ending up doing BoCcovers as it is actually a lot of fun and a bit of a process/challenge doing all the tape stuff etc.

Fantastic work. I love it when people do in-depth covers of BoC pieces because it's the closest thing we get to unpicking their process in a way.

The video stuff is all still pretty new to me so I'm glad people are enjoying it! Just made what I could out of the clips with this "breakdown". The original plan was just to play the synth part live and maybe MIDI sequence the strings but the temptation to mess with tape etc. prevailed Did a similar thing before with 'The Colour of The Fire".

Cheers! Recorded the synth strings on the Pioneer deck then played back and recorded the output from the walkman. The Pioneer gets a nice drive and wobble to it and with the VUs you can see when you're hitting a nice input level. Recording the wee speaker on the walkman seemed like a better way to get that thin sound than just EQing or whatever. Replaced the belt on the walkman recently as well so it's a bit more stable than it used to be but still pretty vibey. Was using an elastic band for the belt for the last couple of years!
