Almost seems like they've done more interviews in various foreign tongues than in english. Are Mike & Marcus just super multilingual as fuck or did someone at some point interview them in english but then hire someone to translate the resulting interview into the native tongue of whatever magazine they happened to work for? Because if it's the former then the brothers are fluent in:
-English
-Spanish
-French
-Portugese
-Italian
-German
-Dutch
-Danish
-Japanese
-Greek
-Russian
-Possibly some others I missed

And if it's the latter then they're almost on the level of Death Grips recording an entire professional interview but overwriting the audio with a bunch of original music before releasing it lmao. But then again, who knows? We've only ever heard about one minute of their actual speaking voices so they both might secretly have Japanese as their first language or something

The interviews were translated for sure, but maybe they know some words, especially in French ("soixante-dix") and Russian ("Semena Mertvykh") lol.

English speakers were too busy listening to people like Nickelback and Bryan Adams so they had to branch out linguistically so as to avoid guilt by association.

Wasn't Marcus's wife Japanese and they lived there for a period or something?

I've always thought about the foreign-language interviews they've done being to obfuscate some of their info, or at least keep some details out of the mainstream. While you would think it would make its way over to English-speaking countries, I have seen plenty cases of this simply not happening. Mid-Air Thief, for example, is presented in America as being much more mysterious than he actually is. If you spend 30 minutes looking around in his native tongue, you can find multiple old projects, photos and videos of him, etc. All the while, people here view Mid-Air Thief as being some nobody who is impossible to reach or find, likely because of a simple language barrier.

Not to mention the supposed Stargate feature is a South American zine.

I seriously wonder if that will be their final interview!

Further, the raga rock influence on Alpha and Omega from geogaddi. Hypnotic flutes from the Punjab to summon spirits, always liked the Eastern sounds on that track.

Most likely the interviews were done over email, or they had an in-betweener.
I don't think they are polymath to the point of being superlinguists too.

This is the most logical explanation indeed. The interviewer approaches BoC in English either in person or via mail. Afterwards the interview is translated to the foreign language for publication.
