I received this cassette back in mid 1997 (during Easter holidays, from what I remember) from a cousin of mine who studied back then in Edinburgh. It's a dubbed copy from the original tape owned by a colleague of his (maybe he was related to the duo, who knows).

The cassette has some harsh degradation due to the tape being played in heavy rotation back then in 1997-1998 because I had this habit of bringing the cassette with me on every road trip and listening again, again and again until mid 1998 after I found out about Daft Punk and Jay Z

So I found this forum to share with you guys what I have from 25 years ago.

It sounds pretty good to me, Any chance someone could balance the left and right though? My left ear is happy but my right ear is sad

that was my stereo's fault, I didn't play the cassette part in a long time since I don't use it that much.

Do you have Old Tunes vol 2? Since all over the internet has a mp3 version with noise reduction and it's ruining the details of the songs and it's pretty impossible to find an unedited version of it due to many scams on the internet.

No. I just received only A Few Old Tunes (or how my copy of the tape says Old Tunes Vol. 1 on it's cover)

The end of Paul Russel's piece is missing and still noice reduced. Theres an obvious cut in King of Carnival. You're a fucking tool.

Could quite care less about someone's disposition to lie. It's an already countlessly ripped and widely known mixtape for a couple of years now, I don't think if I was a budding rare BoC sharer hoping to garner some excitement, that's the first release I would go for.

It's also nothing to get het up about in my opinion because of that.

I was going to suggest carbon dating the paper and ink of the J card but yeah metadata works

I tried to do an innocent troll just to see how many people know if it's a troll or not, like a social experiment for example. Still remember when BoC Discord got fooled with that Old Tunes vol. 2 tape that was on Discogs.
