Just noticed that the boat in this film is called Corsair. I wondered if it could be a reference. Then I started thinking that there are many Boards of Canada oceanic references.

If they grew up in Canada in the 1970's then they would have definitely been watching the Films of Jacques Coustea. Also the term BoC Maxima always reminded me of an oceanic reference, why? I've no idea. Plus one of them wears a red hat. A symbol that is linked to Scuba diving. Do you think these guys do that as a hobby?

Chinook is named after a fish, so there’s a high likelihood that they practice fishing or scuba diving.
