I never want to be reminded of those years again. I was young and my life was so lonely and empty. I never had a stable Internet connection to meet women and even if I had of done there would always be other male competitors waiting in the wings. Now I'm older and hateful and no longer yearn for a wife and family but I wish ill on those men who have achieved this and still long for the death of their children to deprive their lives of meaning.

No offense, but maybe you should get off your smartphone as it sounds like your filter-bubble-algorithm is pipelining you towards incel blackpill bullshit. You don't need an internet connection to meet people, and there is no competition for the people worth your salt. Having a wife and kids is -not- the de-facto way of becoming happy (and approaching it like that is a surefire way of making your wife and kids unhappy). Love yourself first. Become the person your dream-partner might want, go to the places they would go and make friends not lovers.

As a 50-odd year old man with two divorces under his belt (and fully aware I am the common denominator in those), and a kid too, I can assure you from experience that the married with kids life is not always the happy ever after you might think. Equally, single life can be fun, or can be utterly desperate. The grass is not always greener and if it is, sometimes it's because the dogs have shat on the lawn first.

I hope you're ok. But if you aren't, I hope you find your path to a better life. I'm still hacking away at the weeds to clear my route, like most of us. Hang in there.

Throw away your phone, go outside and find a new friend circle of real people about a band that's really lame and do that a couple years, then come back and read this.
