i dont know man...i just cant stop listening to this album lately...you could feel the sky is another life alltogether...when i listen to it i get that feeling in my stomach and i just stop and think blankly...i find the best thing (as i listen to it once a day lately) is to put it in my portable player, set it to track 23 then engage the shuffle function..and let the player give me a different mix of it every time..its so enthralling..i think its officially my favorite boards album...its even affecting/influencing my newest tracks...your words?

Took me years to finally appreciate this album all the way through... It may be my favorite BoC album someday, but not yet; The Campfire Headphase currently holds that honour.

Yeah, my favorites vary really. At first it was Twoism, then Geogaddi for a real long time, now it's a combination of Campfire and Music Has The Right...

I heard virtually everything they did (excluding rare albums and Campfire because it wasn't out yet) within the first 2 days of discovering them a few years ago. Twas a magical time indeed. Life changing really.

Geo is too melancholy for me at this point.

I'm with Goiter. I believe I've listened to TCH just about every day since the day it was released. And if it's not the entire album almost every day, then it's definitely 2/3 of it.

But.. fall is here.. it's getting darker earlier and earlier.. and I think I may hear the faint sound of Geogaddi in the distance.

Totally, man. It's a dark, claustrophobic album. PERFECT for winter.

I can't talk about Geogaddi without sounding like the biggest kiss-ass of all time. This is without a doubt, my all time favorite album. The only thing that comes close is The Campfire Headphase. Good God, so many great tracks on Geogaddi, but my fave has to be "You Could Feel the Sky." I've yet to experience something quite like it, and then when it transitions into "Corsair" I really begin to lose it. It is truly a start-to-finish listening experience.

It's the closest thing to an actual drug trip that I've ever heard. I've always considered the A Is To B As B Is To C to be the grand climax of the actual trip, and Over The Horizon Radar to be the comedown point. The rest of the album is the afterglow effect

geo is there best and most detailed. every time since i bought it i hear something new in it. even if its not there, thats how good an album it is.

Geogaddi is perfect in every little way:

* a very coherent, consistent album
* lots of tracks (I like that)
* the artwork is beautiful, especially the ltd edition with the booklet -- love the packaging
* depressive, melancholic & psychedelic!
* oh yes the music is great as well

geogaddi would be my favourite too, but i don't like every song on it. i like every album in equal measures because they all have songs i like, and songs i don't like.

i never listen to gyroscope anymore. it's a good track but i'm just gone off it.

I never liked it.. until recently, now I "get" the track and only since then I appreciate it.

In the past I couldn't stand the in-your-face percussion of the track. It's kinda unsettling, innit? But now I love that!

That's what I loved about that song. That and the droning background. Makes for an absolutely disturbing track. I can do without the number stations myself

i love sunshine recorder. every time i hear it, it transports me back to specific time in my life - spiddel, galway, in the west of ireland 1998 - the sun was so bright it faded the sorrounding landscape and the mountains were barely visible.

Geogaddi is awesome. Nuff said.

"Geogaddi" is their darkest album so far and at this moment my best-loved.
