This is a support group for the next week for anyone else who wants the album to blindside them, from the play button onwards. It has been difficult but I do believe in the payoff. I know the real answer is to not open social media, and definitely keep away from twoism. But I like to live dangerously. Anyone else checking in, reading topic titles, but waiting for their first listen to catch up on the mass reactions? I've actually still sat out playing/hearing the single. I have caught split seconds of it unintentionally, and also succumbed to reading one sentence reactions from the 5/22 sessions, which I won't re-share. Humble brag your bunker security media blinders self-imposed exile suffering for art here.

I agree, although I did listen to Prophecy and Introit I refuse to hear anything else or read reviews. I did the same thing with Tomorrow’s Harvest and it shocked and blew my mind.

I don't actually mind reading reviews - half of them are contradicting each other anyway so I still don't really know what to expect. I listened to Prophecy a couple of times when it came out to satisfy my curiosity but I won't be playing it again until I can hear the whole thing

It's funny how can there be spoilers without hearing anything, just reading some symbols arranged in a specific order. The descriptions aren't the thing itself and other people's opinions aren't all that important anyway.

I've just listened to Introit/Prophecy and Tape 05 of course, plan on my first listen being at a Record Store event. Gonna be a looong week

Anything you hear outside the official public marketing campaign counts as a spoiler. And I try to stick to that. But I’ve already accidentally heard a reel on Instagram twice where someone had included a snippet of one of the 15 unreleased tracks. What a shame! Reviews are now officially allowed to be published, so I’ve no problem with reading one now and then.

Some folks just can't resist. I spotted a couple of people at the listening party continuing to record after Prophecy. To do that and then share it publicly is very disappointing.

Being a musical theatre fan where filming is strictly prohibited... but someone always does it, and we've all watched those bootlegs, it's like "if you're gonna do it, do it SUBTLY"

But bootlegs are for material you KNOW or are never going to get to experience any other way. You only get to listen to something for the first time ONCE, who'd want to ruin that for people? I admire anyone with the strength to have a plan and stick to it and avoid the spoilers.

I saw a boot from a listening party and skimmed through it before it was deleted. I'm somewhere in between the "just inject it into my veins anyway possible" and "if I waited 13 years I can wait 5 more days."

I have only listened to Introit/Prophecy and Tape 05. My assumption is Tape 05 will be on the record. I have done the best I can to avoid any other spoilers. I have also made an effort to not listen to any of the above mentioned tracks too many times.

With how my schedule works out this week, I wont really have time to listen until Saturday morning... which is totally fine. My plan is to wake up with a fresh pot of coffee and listen to this continuous mix on some very nice headphones in my back yard surrounded by nature. Though I pre-ordered the vinyl I am assuming it will not arrive by this weekend.
***Edit: Literally just got this email...so maybe it will arrive on time
If it does then my next listen will be inside with a sketch book to jot down some inspirations that I take away from it. If the vinyl doesn't arrive I will put the CD on in my Panasonic 3DO.
Anyone remember that failed video game console? I have my old one hooked up to some decent speakers so, it will be fun to give it a spin on there.

You are using the 3DO to listen to this? Incredible. It'll be worth the wait, be careful. Your 3DO might start speaking to you...

Yeah, I think even the vinyl shows up on time I will probably give it a spin on the 3DO as well. I can safely say I may be the only one using a 3dO with to listen to Inferno. It has a pretty rad visualizer too. Well rad by early 90s standard.

Ahh yes! Speaking of awesome an visualizer. I would love to find a working "Nuon" so I can play with the Virtual Light Machine made by the incredible Jeff Minter. If not, I'll have to settle for the 360 version (VLM-3) which is just a good.

The one playing at the ending credits of the Backrooms movie? If so, I've seen this reel too.
