Does it have to be music that was released in 2006? Or just music that we enjoyed the most in 2006? 8)

Favorite releases of 2006? Interesting question. One I don't think I can really answer in a straight forward manner.

Most of 2006, I have been flat broke and have not been able to purchase very many releases. However, this is also my first year in the Twoism forums, and I have discovered COUNTLESS, INCREDIBLE artists from this place that I would NEVER have discovered otherwise... and that is what I would like to try and list for you tonight ladies and gentlemen.

First and foremost are the resident Twoism musicians. So many of you guys kick so much ass, it's insane. Just to name a few...

Ciaran Byrne
Hills West
Lone
Nlog(ax)
Milieu
Saturday Index
Polar Sky
NNY
Fieldtriqp
The White Lodge
Redpoint
Sarin Sunday

Etc Etc Etc... to anyone I forgot, sorry!

On top of these great resident artists, there's been countless musical discoveries for me that all originated here. Some of them include...

Freescha
Bola
Dntel
Album Leaf
Cabaret Voltaire
Casino Versus Japan
Catherine Wheel
Chapterhouse
Helios
I Am Robot And Proud
Incredible String Band
M83
Machine Drum
Monster Movie
Pelican
Ride
Royksopp
Slowdive
The Verve
Thom Yorke
Ulrich Schnauss
William Basinski

I still have a TON of music to discover... but my hard drive is only so big!

You guys truely have a bitchin' taste in music and I'm looking forward to further discoveries and new resident artists in 2007! Rock on!
