I want to record sounds a make music with them. Sick of FL's cheesiness.

Same here. I have both Acid Pro and FL Studio. I am sick of having limited control over my music with both software. I want some new equipment, but I don't have the money. Damn, that equipment looks pretty good.

Sure, that's a cool audio interface. You can do a lot more with it than, let's say, a Soundblaster X-Fi, but it's not going to change much about how you use software to make music... unless it comes bundled with some really cool new programs.

I use FL Studio in my own completely bizarre and wacky way and I can pull out some stuff from it that sounds fairly original. You gotta make the software your bitch, not the other way around. Smack it around a little, it will respond...

On another note... I saw Audio Kontrol in a magazine recently and decided I wanted it too! I really want a firewire external audio interface. I get way to much interferance from my PC fans on my X-Fi...

I think someone being frustrated with the tools at their disposal is just fine.

I banged my head against software for the past couple of years (odd, since software is my background) and didn't really start to feel comfortable until I pretty much moved exclusively to hardware. It just depends on the user.

Ageed! My fondest music creating memories are back with my Gran's Casio 3-10, percussion, drum machine, compressor, reverb unit and a 4- Track. Listening to some old recordings I made stuff sound great without even realising. Now I spend hours trying to emulate that sort of thing! Sort of silly really...

i will say the shit you can do with computers now-a-days is fucking crazy...you would never need a single real instrument and you could make these eleborate tracks that sound amazing. i have no problem with that what so ever, it's just not very appealing to me as far as making music. i have been doing things a certain way for so long and that way just feels right...wouldnt want to change it...

There is no limit with FL-Studio....and if there was, you should push that limit to the furthest.

Wow, some serious computer hatred in here.

As long as it sounds good it shouldnt matter what software your using. People who abuse soft synths kind of bug me tho. I dont really like that sound, it generally lacks character, I think every sound should have a little work and sweat behind it. I respect people who mold their sound outside of the computer a little bit more.
