I've loved it since I first heard it. BoC songs with this vibe are my favourite. The chopped vocals are great but the unsettling flutes are just incredible.

Incredible. Do I even need to say it needs to be properly released? I've said it a ton of times already, but some of those live tracks are better than some album tracks and need a proper release. It's probably not gonna happen though. Those fuckers really piss me off sometimes.

This track passed me by, thanks for highlighting it - it's pretty damn fine.

Definately one of my favorites... The chopped vocals are superb, as is the flute melody.

Bumping this old thread to point out something I noticed.
I think that this song is an old, old old version of Skyliner. I listened to both repeatedly today on a long car ride.
The beginning with the muffled drums, the eventual ride cymbal that pops in (and the whooshing sound right before it, though it's more extended with the backwards snare drums in Skyliner), the ending with that synth hanging in the distance... I think these guys are distant cousins. There are a lot of little similarities.
Thoughts?

The elements you mentioned are all staples of BoC's technique. That "Skyliner" and track 3 from Lighthouse have them all in common is probably a coincidence. If they were indeed related, there would probably be more similarity in the melody or chord progression.

Can't believe I hadn't downloaded this until now

Track 3 playing on repeat and don't think I'll be turning it off anytime soon. If I could just filter out that pair in conversation near the end...

The lighthouse track 3. The Warp 10th track 7. The ATP track 7.
Three unbelievable tracks. Cannot for the life of me understand why they havent deserved a proper release.

Listening right now, can't believe I did not spend enough time to really listen to it. It sounds reallt nice!
EDIT: I also listened to the track using the DFX audio enhancer. It helps bring out the ambience of the song just a bit more

I know that the chord progression isn't a straight rip, but I feel that there's a resemblance.
I don't know, I still can't get this out of my head, that these two tracks are related more than "they're done by the same two dudes".

totally! I love the first track from ATP as well... that slow accordian-like synth, amazing tune. A great shame if this were to never see the light of day.

This is the first time I've ever heard of it, so I downloaded and listened... and I really like those vocal chops!

Vocal style reminiscent of second half of JMJ's Ethnicolor Pt 1
Tis gut.
