So.. slammed at work and found some time today to listen to some music while lost in a grid of brushes and entities.
I had been meaning to listen to the Renu CD on Archaic Horizons, so I went to their page and saw that there was also a new Loafeye available. Downloaded that, downloaded Renu, downloaded Sora Shima, downloaded Hills again, etc.
Just a lot of great music being released by AH, so wanted to give them a big thumbs up as I'm half drunk and stoned on work.
Check them out if you haven't, you'll definitely find something you like:

I really like this EP. Great for headphone listening in the night while your mind wanders.

Really really liking this EP. I sat outside and got a little stoned last night, playing this on headphones... not particularly concentrating on the music or anything else but aware of everything... beautiful
Fancy telling me what the barely audible voices on 'My Brain Out in a Field' are?

most of the samples are from 50s u.s propaganda films.

Milieu - Wasted Magic In The Sound

"Wasted Magic in the Sound cohesively bonds thirteen different artists together in thirteen Milieu mixed tracks. Brian Grainger applies his distinctive style and reinterprets each song accordingly resulting in a well rounded and entertaining release.
A slightly mischievous remix of Electricwest's "Night Shift" is deeply layered with soft drones and remarkable percussion that add to the tracks mysterious feel. Fieldtriqp's "In Flight" is slightly dissolved but still enriched by textural melodies that reverberate in the distance. The cover of Black Moth Super Rainbow's "Lake Feet" sonically drifts through tangible ambience with a lonely acoustic melody and appealing down-tempo beat.
