Ive noticed that a few people on here coordinate their boc listening in a seasonal fashion. Heres mine..

Fall: Music Has The Right, Geogaddi,
Winter: The Campfire Headphase, IABPOITC, old tunes vol.1
Spring: Hi Scores, the poppy seeds
Summer: Old Tunes Vol. 2, TCH ep, Maxima

I've got to say... That's pretty silly haha. I don't think I have any particular pattern, I like Trans Canada Highway while driving though.

You know, Geogaddi is actually more of a summer record for me. Although me and my buddies were listening to "Sunshine Recorder" last night amidst our Wendys eating and Tenacious D watching.

I'd say Geogaddi is an album I listen to whenever I feel a bit frustrated with people. It isolates me, and comforts me too.

yeah definitely. geogaddi is an outdoors, summer, evening/twilight record


and music has the right always reminds me of when I first got it, listening endlessly on early pre-dawn buses to college and work... not really a seasonal habit but that time just seems the most appropriate for the music

Generally, Music Has The Right To Children is something that I'd listen to more frequently in the winter. It just has tones that make me think of the season. Geogaddi makes me think of the Summer, while Campfire Headphase makes me think of early Fall. Trans Canada Highway and Twoism are late Spring for me.

But the feel that I get of the albums...

Fall: The Campfire Headphase
Winter: TCH ep, MHTRTC
Spring: MHTRTC, TCH ep...strange
Summer Nights: IABPOITC, Geogaddi
Summer: The Campfire Headphase, IABPOITC

no logic there hehe

maybe its better to talk about certain tracks.....because every album EP got summer, day, night, winter tracks

I absolutely associate The Campfire Headphase with summertime and Twoism with fall.

The other records I don't associate with one season particularly.

Totally agree, and I think that's because when it came out it was hot here. Plus the cover has a warm look to it with the reds and oranges. I listen to all kinds of stuff all the time, so there is never a pattern for me.

I listen erratically..but I have to say that Geogaddi is perfect for late night driving. Once Music Is Math gets going...its bliss. And IABPOITC is cool to listen to after a long night of getting wasted on various chemicals...

I listen to all their cds frequently in my car year round to help with my 50 minute drive to work everyday. That is except Hi Scores (my least favorite).
I listen to Transcanada a lot while I take baths and have a glass of wine to relax. Although i think i've listened to TCH over 50 times but only sat through the remix once...
To help me sleep I listen to the last 5 tracks from Geogaddi and from "Slow This Bird Down" to the end of The Campfire Headphase. Recently though Milieu's ambient releases have pretty much replaced them.

yes i also start from slow this bird down on work my way down on weeknights. I cant listen to boc in a car tho, i feel as tho i have to give all of my concentration to the music when i listen.

Hmm, not seasonal but; I like to listen to IABPOITC when i was up all night and it starts to get morning again..

Geogaddi is a late summer album I think. Songs like sunshine recorder suit that mood. Right now I have fallen in love with Boc Maxima and its shitty synth sounds.
