So seeing as this album has been out most everywhere for like a month and probably leaked online before that i'm guessing this might be old news. But I live in the US and I buy most all my cds at local stores so I just got it two days ago and I think its awesome. Definitely one of my favorite albums I've purchased this year, which surprised me because I hadn't heard anything other than "Atlas" when I bought it.
Anyone else enjoy this cd?

I haven't heard it yet, is it comparable with the previous album?

i dont know, haven't listened to it yet.
but i am really put off by warp the way one of the tracks from the album has been up for the past two months on the site and is just being pushed to fuck by them.
warp always change the track after a week or two. hmmmmm

huh, I haven't been on warprecords.com for quite a while so i didn't notice, but that is odd. I remember like a month or two ago warp was really pushing the single Atlas and i gave it a listen and didn't like it much. but then I listened to it like a week ago and suddenly thought it was pretty good. So I looked up the album to find it was conveniently coming out in less than week and I figured what the hell I'll buy this. And I got to say this album sounds a lot different than anything I've heard recently, I find it really enjoyable.

They played at my record store today.
I'd buy the CD, but I spent all the money on Mùm albums.

I guess my previous postings on this forum are pretty indicative of how I feel about Grizzly Bear. If I'm interpreting this right, this means that you haven't listened to "Yellow House" yet.
It's not electronic so it's hard to say whether or not you'll like it, but I think you should definitely get on that if you haven't already!

Seconded. It's a great album.
As for Battles, i think the new album is good but patchy. Certain tracks are just frustrating and a little annoying. I had similar opinions about their previous releases, so more of the same i suppose. Atlas is fantastic though.

I gave it a few more listens.. and I will listen one tiem again before hiiting the delete button. It's not that bad but I just don't thinks it's good enough to keep. It's the same for the Battles.. they just don't seem to fascinate me somehow.
About the electronic factor.. you are kind of right that it somehow needs s anelectronic touch, though it doesn't necessarily have to be like that.
