I've used that site before. There's probably a better one... this one has too much flash and pop-ups and shit. But still, does what it says on the tin.

I'm dreadful at Chess (ok defensive, woeful offensively) but fascinated by it, especially the intrigue and stories surrounding some of the Grandmasters such as Kasparov, Fischer etc.

Just watched this superb documentary (BBC and Film Boards of Canada produced) about Garry Kasparov's highly controversial defeat in 1997 to the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue. If you get the chance, take a look.

So, did IBM really cheat in game 2, making DeepBlue little more than a modern-day 'Turk', or did Kasparov simply allow himself to get psyched out? It's clear which side the documentary thinks is true and I can't say that I disagree.

Well worth 90 mins of your time - whether you like chess or not.

Chess is pretty much the only game, board-based, digital or otherwise, that I am willing to play.

One day I will learn how to better play chess. I love hearing people talk about games, seeing analysis of games by Fischer and such is very intriguing, I just don't know how to apply anything I've heard really. I have a feeling I won't learn till I'm an old man in my retirement or something

Yeah same, but that doesn't spoil the fun for me at all. Now that I think of it, I haven't played chess in a while now, I should play again.

We should still have a non-competitive twoism chess tournament.

I used to play a lot but in all honesty I hit this point where I just stopped caring who wins or loses. I was genuinely indifferent. Since then, I can't really play anymore (because you kinda have to want to win in order to make enough of an effort at it).

Is this weird? :/

I'm currently playing a game with Mexicola on chess.com.

I ditched chesspresso and installed the chess.com app on my android phone and iPad. It's great because I can play the same game in any browser & device. I looked into the possibility to play a twoism tournament but this function is only available for premium accounts...

Yeah, you can set the duration 1 till 14 days per move. 3 days seems to be common on there.
