aye, he's pretty well known here in the UK. He definitely does some pretty amazing stuff... although it kind of annoys me when he espouses all these anarchist DIY culture values then sell his work in exclusive galleries for hundred of thousands of £££ and publishes £25 print books.

Wow I have never heard of this guy. He has my respect! I don't think people and press in America would be as open to his style of artistic expression as they are in Europe. We are far too paranoid.

yeah he's massively well known in the UK, every person I know knows his work..

I always feel embarrassed for saying I like him because everyone says they like him, and yeah, I don't want to be seen as to be like following a crowd or something. basically I don't want to sell out by liking him lol

I wouldn't say I am a fan of him because he's some political underground rebel leader, I don't really see it in that way at all. me and my friends do some stencilling and stuff and I just think his is all really good, and most of his work is humourous and some of it is genuinely funny

no i totally agree actually. Although i do think to be fair that his political points are generally more developed than charlie brooker makes out, and that in addtition charlie brooker is a sub-jeremy clarkson middle class wank who pretends to have the viewpoints of a twelve year old to get a rise out of people.

I agree with you guys. But, Infinit E, I totally don't agree with your view on Charlie Brooker, He's fukin class. I'm not much of one for journalism or media critics etc but he is the most entertaining around, he's hilarious and passionate and getting a reaction out of people is a good thing. Don't you like Nathan Barley either? ( He co-wrote it)

He co-wrote nathan barley? That's pretty surprising... i still find him irritating tbh. And i was being a little tongue-in-cheek in above post- its not like I hate him, just wouldnt hunting down stuff hes written/presented

nathan barley is one of the funniest things to be televised in the last ten years. i bought it on dvd. we used to watch it when i was in college in wolverhampton. from what i've seen, it's a pretty accurate interpretation of how 'up their own arse' some of the media colony are in london.

Nathan Barley was brilliant. Did you ever read TV Go Home? It's where Nathan Barley first appeared, in the fly-on-the-wall documentary "Cunt". Some very funny stuff in the archives.

I think Charlie Brooker is VERY funny. Screen Burn every Saturday is great.
