Dayvan Cowboy video interpretation

I have been watching this again recently and the experience feels like a process of birth.

Perhaps the fall is the birth (entering the world) and the surf is the ride of life, eventually swollowing the rider in the end.

Pretentious, Moi?

how do any of you know? it could be 'supposed' to symbolize anything, we'll probably never know. what we do know is that its meant to be open to interpretation. i think the aforementioned 'theory' is just as interesting as any other. six five two you really should tone down the sass and chill out

Eh...

I think the video is alright. It's cool the first time (especially if you haven't seen that footage before), but really, it's not the greatest thing ever made... even if it does have their name attached to it.

It feels like the video symbolize freedom, and to feel free to me. I love the video and its one of the nicest videos I ever seen, and yes I interpret the video something like that, its about life and falling from space into water then flying high in the sky (while surfing, the feeling of flying and falling) then down back again..spacey :D I love it!

cupz amd six-five-two needs to chill and stop the negative "duh are you high or something" comments..

Boring and negative.

I totally agree with you Arch, it reminds me that vid from The great Gig in the sky by Pink Floyd... well the sea and the waves.... so beautiful.

Some say it's boring and stuff, I think it's a masterpiece.

Umm, yea, It's an interpretation, not a 'this is what BoC must have meant' definition. But sorry for discussing a BoC on a BoC forum.

And it's 'You're a dumbass.'

  1. No need to call him a dumbass. Consider this warning #1
  2. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion and free to express said opinion on this boc related forum.
  3. And it has to be "you are" in stead of "your".

You guys this kind of discussion belongs in the Post When Your (sic) High Thread. Shame, SHAME!

also: i will be high later. Who else is high here?

also: i just read the word 'high' too many times and now it doesn't look anything like it's pronounced to me.

I dig the interpretation Wrath. What I like about the video is that it's a bit of a break from the boring videos on VH1 and MTV. Most "electronic" videos are done nicely anyways.
