Tell About Amazing or Bad Trip Moments with BOC

I have only been into boards of canada long enough to have only listened to them on 2 trip occassions but my fondest memory was when in "Satellite Anthem Icarus" the acoustic guitar throughout the whole song was slowing down and getting faster at times though that wasnt even really happening. It freaked me out but it was sweet cuz even when ur freaked out its just all apart of the trip. Also, at the very end of Satellite Anthem Icarus those wierd noises after the song has ended really freaked me out but Peacock Tail cooled me down. The trip lasted for about 13 hrs. and with about 4 hrs to go I listened to MHTRTC in a dark room with a little light coming through the blinds at about 7am and I had one of the best times of my life. I love BOC

i really dont know where to start...

most surreal would be sitting on top of a cliff whilst a red moon bounces around the sky.

recently i've been having amazing trips whilst listening to an eagle in your mind, sixtyten and telephasic workshop...it feels like im almost sitting on top of these tracks, selecting sounds and directions...i also get a strange picture of a colourful cartoon castle? x

This :P

I've never had a bad trip regarding BoC.

I listened to some BoC on mushrooms once, but found it really uninteresting to listen to while tripping. That's normal for me though - when i'm on shrooms, I can't pay attention to anything that I normally would use to entertain myself. I get sucked into other stuff, like a photo in a book, or i just go out to the woods and stare into the distance. My friend and I tried to watch about 7 different movies before we gave up and just walked into the woods and staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaared.

The other day I had faint visuals with some dxm. The first song to pop on on my playlist when we turned out the lights was happy cycling. I'm not too experienced of a user, but regardless of the intensity i was having it was pretty kick ass.

That little build up through out the song that sounds like a record being stopped let loose and my vision just exploded as the pattern/geometric things i was faintly seeing wound up into a whirlpool and gave way to a falling sensation. A slide of colors i guess :D

It was my first time seeing any visuals on anything, so needless to say it was fun! and I'm looking forward to some more

many profound acid trips during the winter listening to boc, beyond words in beauty and self-realization.

Oh I didn't even see that you had Tool's lyrics in the bottom of ur posts. Fuck yea they are up there with BOC to me. I get my easy listeneing side with Boards, electronic, and other house stuff, and heavy listening while also connecting to Tool through lyrics and amazing creations of music. Favorite Song : THIRD EYE - listened to while I was tripping and was thrown "down that hole and back again" it really kicked my ass. this is meant for "Vordhosbn"

A fresh sounding MHTRTC physically wafting out of the speakers while peaking at 6 in the morning, coinciding with sesame st appearing on the telly screen (completely random), a beautiful sun splitting through the windows and a game of buckaroo to top things off. It doesn't get much better.

my first experience listening to boards of canada was a trip experience. a group of us from austin traveled north to plano, a small suburb of dallas, to visit our good friend josh. he happened to have some very high grade k, and most of us are the type of people who are pretty much down for anything like that. about five of us snorted healthy doses, and josh turned the lights out and put the campfire headphase on. the next couple of hours, bumping along, we were all having some of the best trips we had ever experienced. everybody had taken smaller doses of mushrooms earlier in the evening, and by the time we got to the k we were already tripping. it was probably my first experience being totally immersed in ketamine consciousness, and at the time the campfire headphase seemed like the perfect soundtrack to explore the coliseums behind the veil. i was hooked from that point on, and the campfire headphase still remains my favorite boc album to date, regardless of critics, for the simple reason that i have good associations with dissociatives and friends from it.

Hell yeah man, the live version though! I'll tell you the best TOOL religious experience playlist: Third Eye (live), 10,000 Days (1+2), Merkaba, Lost Keys+Rosetta Stoned, and then finish it off with Disp/refl/triad.
