Ive been listening to boards of canada for about two years now.
Now, Im not a music elitist, my prior favorite bands have been fischerspooner, in college ( i still am in college) and blink-182, in high school.
Then I got into boc, and, I dont think I exaggerate when I say that, in any given day, boc is 80-90+% of what I listen to, mostly on my headphones, since I don't like to disturb my roommate with such lovely songs as music is math and the devil is in the details.
Am I the only one who listens to boc in such large quantities?
Did any of you go through this sort of pattern, but "got over" boc?
I understand theres ppl here that have been listening for much longer than two years...

About 30% here...and thats allot considering the amount of music I listen Most artist get a 5%...10% tops!

I end up listening to mostly BoC in a day, but I throw in some other interesting music that I love occasionally...

10% or less. Too much other good stuff out there. I've been doing what I can to listen to 2-3 albums I've never heard, every day.

I've been doing the exact same thing. I'll take 2-3 CD-Rs or whatever into my car in the morning and listen to em while I'm on the road.

From 30 Aug 2006 till now about 2.15% I know this because of Last.fm. What Last.fm didn't count is what I play with my mp3 player but since it's on shuffle most of the time I guess it's about the same.

EDIT: I do wonder how precise everyone is with their guessing. I thought about 10% but as you see it's less.

That is pretty impressive to me, I admit, I am not really open to new music, specially music with lyrics, haha.

I'm always open for new tunes, but, just like you, I have something against lyrics...

I love a well-crafted lyric or two. In fact there are quite a few bands that I love that i probably wouldn't bother with if they didn't have such excellent songwriters and or rappers in.

i would say around the 2% mark, i listen to them every couple of days just a few tracks.

I voted 50-75% but sometimes I won't listen to boc as much. But I usually end up listening to them at some point during the day..

30% for me.
