I've seen this kind of thread in other forums, where people post links to free and legal mp3's; it's a great way to discover new artists in my opinion. Here's a couple of them to start off:
God Is An Astronaut - Fragile (right click + save as)
Secede - Memory Table pt.2 (left click)
7oi - In (right click + save as)

As an extend to the who is/are your favority director(s) thread check out these free and wonderfull mixes by svarte greiner.
http://www.typerecords.com/audio/svarte ... ilmbok.mp3
http://www.typerecords.com.nyud.net:809 ... ng_mix.mp3
http://www.typerecords.com.nyud.net:809 ... leaves.mp3
All these mixes have a nice selection of moody atmospheric soundtrack like tracks that will haunt you in the evening, some containing references to david lynch.
PS. 90% (Julien Neto, Deaf Center ) on Typerecords are well worth checking out!

This really is a great way to find "free" music, but you should consider wether the music is legal or not before posting any links.

Why did you remove that AFX link

What about the others who post a link, like you

Those are free and legal, most of them are offered by artists/record companies as "advertisements".

You said ' most of them ' how can you tell

I don't think that track from Slowdive in this topic is offered by the artists or recordcompany

That's always a tough question... it's obvious when someone made an "yousendit"out of it

It has nothing to do with that, it's because we respect the artist.
There are other ways to get "free" mp3's, you know that and I know that... just don't use this messageboard for that.
