Hah! Cookie cutter pop stars! There was something similarly done with 2 Nickelback songs that I saw a couple years ago. They played one of their singles through the left channel and another through the right... and they matched up PERFECTLY. It was absolutely insane!

What else is absolutely insane is the fact that people listen to crap that is so obviously geared to make a profit and nobody even notices! Blind...

all I'm saying is there's nothing wrong with enjoying music that makes you happy, wether it be pop music or your own.

I have a hard time listening to music thats just formula. Its so....soul-less. Linking park is like the first month you play the guitar...all you know is E, A and G...but thats aaaaall you need

and even WHEN your using the same thing AT LEAST use a different bpm

I dont blame anyone for finding Linkin Park catchy but the guy who wrote the article is right in most everything he says about them I think. When LP were really catching on around here I was in high school (just a liiiiittle too old to really find myself in their songs, no matter how depressed i was at the time. i had more of a NIN-sympathetic depression ) i found two or three of their singles to be a guilty pleasure for me cause they caught on right away, but the sound grew wearing after a while.

I have a confession... one year for my high school's music festival I played One Step Closer. I kind of feel ashamed, but I came second, so it can't be that bad, right? I used to really like Slipknot, too. I guess I was the right age at the time (looks left to right nervously repeatedly like the dog in that episode of the Simpsons when homer directs a movie with Mel Gibson). Well, at the time, I had a crush on this girl who really liked Linkin Park so maybe I betrayed my taste a little. Now I listen to Meshuggah!

seriously though, i still like to go back and have a listen to a lot of the crappy shit i used to love in high school. a lot of it already has some nostalgic value to me. i actually was in the car the other day trying to find a good song on the radio (there are some decent classic rock stations here) and KoRn came on and I flipped right past it before realizing it wasn't just ANY angst metal, it was good ol' pre-2000 KoRn.

I had to listen.
