Hi guys, some of you may know I've been working on a new label aimed at showcasing various interesting arts called the Retronym. project, you can find this at: http://www.retronym.co.uk/

Our launching piece is a new EP from Cilocub...

"The new record from Manchester-based artist Cilocub marks our debut release with his fantastic EP, March Febrile. A beautiful record full of analog warmth, haunting pianos, organic percussion, twisted guitars and warbling voices akin to Boards of Canada and Bibio. This record is available for download completely free and is also available for purchase in a very limited edition run of 100 copies. If you like this record please support the artist and buy a copy, 100% of the funds go direct to them."

You can download this record here: http://www.retronym.co.uk/marchfebrile.html

I'd really appreciate feedback on this EP, I personally think it's fantastic, intelligent and the perfect way to get this project off to a good start. Also if you really like it, there is an option to purchase a limited copy of it and therefore completely supporting the artist for their good work in the process. I believe people should be given a choice, I don't expect people to make a gamble purchase on something they're not completely into.

Send us a PM if you're interested in getting involved with this. Not only am I looking for music but I'm also interested in releasing the likes of video, art, written word and anything else! I want this to be a free-for-all community where everybody can get involved, with the likes of regular remix competitions, sample exchanges and other projects. So if you think you've something interesting to showcase, get in touch!

Who knows, it could spawn off a completely different type of 'Madchester' scene altogether  If only!

Damn, how did I not see this stuff before??

Excellent stuff man, I'm just 2 songs in and I already know it'll be worth buying. Great production! Reminded me a bit of Freescha vs BoC.

HIGLY RECOMMENDED!

I recommend to change the title to this topic. "Cilocub - March Febrile EP, Debut Record On Retronym." This doesn't ring a bell at all here, it does now though.

I'm totally addicted to this EP. It has become a part of my daily life without much noise, quietly but firmly. 'Eyes Around The Shivering Tree' is devastatingly beautiful, and so are the others. Aside from BoC and Freescha, it reminds me of Kelpe.

Sadly, as my financial state doesn't allow me to purchase a copy right now, i can only send this few lines of feedback to the artist and to your label BrandNewRetro, this is a really good start, good luck with it ;)

Thanks for the great feedback! There'll be more from Cilocub and other Retronym. artists in the near future so I'll be sure to keep you updated. I don't think this record has hit as many peoples' ears as it deserves, so if you know someone that'll like it, spread the word guys 8)
