this is something i wanted to get to but i haven't had time to phrase it well and thoroughly enough. My experience with BoC is that some of their appeal to me is that their music brings me back memories of things that i heard growing up in the 80's (in places like museums, epcot center and disneyland or from cartoons, kids shows, school educational films and documentaries). This has probably been discussed a lot of times; but now I'm wondering if younger people find the same deeper melancholy than us older folks even if they grew up in different decades, with different cartoons, etc? or will BoC's music only appeal to younger people as just good music?

I'm 23. I remember staying home from school on sick days when I was a child watching daytime television such as Sesame Street, PBS, and various nature documenteries. Now when I hear Boc it sparks those memories. Some of their tracks bring back vivid visuals of when I was a child, which now seems like another lifetime. Sometimes I can't pick up the exact connection, but it's somewhere in my subconcious and brings me back to a warm, familiar place. Boc is the only artist that can make me want to cry tears of joy and sadness all at the same time. I always thought kids that grew up in the 70s and early 80s are the ones most deeply affected by their music.
