Boards of Canada Ringtones (and a lot of others, too)

Hi, first time poster, long term lurker, how is everyone, please be nice, etc etc :)

Anyway! My reason for posting: I just got an iPhone and really really wanted to have some BoC samples as a ringtone. As the iPhone has some special format, and I am too lazy/incapable of figuring out how to do it myself using your standard players, I ran into this:
http://audiko.net/search/en.html?q=boards+of+canada

which turns out to be a really neat site where you can upload your song of choice, cut it as you wish, then download your ringtone in a couple of different formats! To my luck someone had already made a couple of BoC ringtones, and I made some new ones myself. I thought I'd share my pleasure at this discovery with you lot here - maybe someone else will find this useful too.

Greets from me in any case :)

Thanks. Downloaded them all. Could come in handy.

Right now I've got the beginning agressive part of Autechre's LCC as ringtone. Quite harsh sometimes, but efficient! :)

Bocuma makes for the finest of all ringtones.

Had the counting from Gyroscope for my incoming texts and the chimes and counting from Aquarius for my ringtone for some time now. Gets some funny looks from people :D

I use the opening "jingle" of Red Moss for a text message tone, and up until recently I had Heard From Telegraph Lines as my ring tone.

A loop of part of 'Breaking Nehushtan' after it fades all the way in could be pretty sweet.

Also: 'I love my new shears' would be good too.

had a dj krush & toshinori kondo track for a ringtone on my old phone, then i changed it to dayvan cowboy, when the strings and drums kick in.. t'was good..

i have a new phone (which is paradoxically older and simpler) and it has 2 mb space, which means i can't put a ringtone on there)

Welcome. :)

I use iToner for my iPhone ringtones. This way you can upload any mp3 to your Ringtone library on your phone. :) Only works on Mac tho, but i guess theres something alike for Windows.

I put on Happy Cycling and Davie Addison. Both a little mixed. I used only the tunes which I loved the most, and would fit great in a ringtone. I'm quite happy with the result, so go check em out! :D
