Recommend me a movie

I want to watch a film tonight. Recommend me something obscure and/or foreign, a bit arthousish maybe, something that touches on the themes of melancholy and coming of age preferably. Thanks!

Just watched this one recently. Really good, and nothing like anything Peter Jackson has done since then. The murder scene was a bit hard to watch I thought- don't know why. I'm used to quite a bit of violence in films, but that one got to me a bit.
If you haven't already, Lars and the Real Girl was a very, very good flick in my book. Very cute- but at the same time a very genuine kind of movie. It deals with coming of age type issues and has a personality all its own.
In general though, I've been on a big western kick, especially Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns. If you haven't seen "Duck You Sucker," now is the time!

i bought pom poko in 2007 for the kids, and after me and the wife watched it we decided not to show them. great ghibli film, though!

Anything by Hayao Miyazaki.
You can't go wrong with him.
But I reccommend Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro or The Castle in the Sky.

Another great Almodovar movie. I just watched this one last night. I have his box set with the 8 movies leading up to Volver, and ever single one of them is brilliant.
