Awesome! I love this stuff. I have a little Realistic Concertmate 370 keyboard that I got on my 7th or 8th birthday. I distinctly remember mashing down on the keys one day and getting it to play songs and bizarre sounds that weren't noted presets. It freaked me out!
The thing gets put in a box for many years. Then, I read about circuit bending a few years back and I pulled that little baby out, ripped the keys off and started mucking about with it. Totally fun stuff!

I am glad someone started a thread about this. It is a cool community. Bought a casio at a pawn shop one time that some one poorly attempted to circuit bend...still can get some fun sounds out of it though.

Going to a workshop tomorrow led by Beatrix Jar on circuit bending after hosting the first Hidden Channel in almost a month. Should be loads of fun! They're providing toys and tools, all I gotta do is show up and be amped, and I already meet half the requirements

I think that dying sound circuits in things like kid's toys and greeting cards are the most depressing sound ever.
I have this old greeting card that struggles so hard to sing "happy birthday". So desperate to wish me a happy birthday with what little life it has left... It's just painfully sad.

i hear you dude. get this, i have a lighter i bought at a garage sale, it's from back in the 50's and it plays a tiny music box when you open the top, and it's the most precious thing ever. it's like the sound of a snowflake melting. brings a tear to the eye.
