It just sounds messy. This topic makes me think of bad auditions in american idol and such, someone that think they are kicking ass but just makes a fool out of themselves in front of everyone. I mean obviously you think this is hot.

Okey through with being harsh now, couldn't help that, sorry. I should leave some constructive criticism.

I think the Watts lecture is drowning behind the song and that makes it sound messy. Actually, the song isn't fitting with the lecture at all imho. Try lowering the volume of the music, and use a song without beats or with minimal beats for this kinda stuff.

You could also play around with the frequencies of the lecture to not let it smear into the song too much, like cutting low frequencies and amplifying mid-high.

yesterday I was walking around town listening to headphones and Happy Cycling was playing and it finally happened--the seagull sample played and one of the seagulls flying around nearby did the same thing in synch. there have been some close calls over the years but this one was perfect.
then I found a bag of weed on the ground. it had been under the snow for the winter and was ruined though.

like the jurassic park clips. The chords fit well with the track. Alan Watts lecture drags on a bit, but it's an interesting listen.

btw gloamlight, i was wondering how much time you spent on that mashup?

GloamLight had the nuts to stick his efforts out there to be shot at and he therefore scores over people like me who haven't the guts to post up our own efforts. Good on ya GloamLight!

obviously people who make mash-ups like this have no respect for the source material. why else would somebody take a great song and ruin it, or are they deluded enough to think that in some way that they are making it even better?

imo people who make these mash-ups are even lower down than the soundalike clones, at least they try and make a new track (albeit sounding like the artist they are copying).
