Nothing new unfortunately but with a letherette remix I'm happy.

i'm quite disappointed in this release to be honest...
to me, it feels wrong remixing this kind of music if you know what i mean?
i am still looking forward to the new album though

Great news; but why in the holy fuck is this iTunes only? Fucking hate iTunes...

That cover is LOVELY.
I like remixes. I want to hear other people's interpretations (and a difffffferent mix of 'Palm of Your Wave'). Pity there's no Wax Stag remix.
And yeah, iTunes sucks a ball. If it's download-only I want it on Bleep.

I'll definitely nab the three new tracks.
A future Wax Stag remix of Bibio would be welcome indeed...

Yeah man, this music shouldn't be touched. I will give the remixes a listen though, to keep an open mind.

Never!! Remixes are awesome, nothing should be sacred as far as music is concerned.

Oval and Emeralds is pretty difficult but does have a couple of his best tracks on (Oval Emerald Vertigo and Carosello Ellitico).
This EP is ok. Kind of drifts along without you noticing really. I'm a little disappointed with the Letherette remix, doesn't really live up to their other work up on myspace IMO.

Ovals & Emeralds?? Man, you must be out of your mind.
That's some of the best shit Bibio ever did. I LOVE it!!

Better than vignetting the compost or hand cranked or AA?
I don't think Oval and Emeralds is 1/10th as good as any of these.
I love everything he's put out, but that one is not even music..

Yeah mate, it's music. Music with many layers maybe, hard to catch, but beautiful in my opinion. I think it's music for the intelligent.
And yes, I think it's one of his best releases so far (without downgrading his other releases ofcourse)

What do you mean? I'm not sure you can justify that comment. Seems a little arrogant...

Ovals and Emeralds has to be listened to with headphones and no distractions, IMO. The beauty of it is in the incredible layering. I couldn't stand "Polycoulraphon" initially until I really listened intently on my studio 'phones...there's just an amazing amount going on in that tune that can't be appreciated in the car, or iPod in the subway. Some of the tunes may not seem like music in the traditional, tonal sense, but the tones are there, buried under a mountain of dirt. It's his most challenging stuff to date, I think, but well worth taking one's time to listen to.
