If, for some hypothetical reason, BoC let you, and only you pick 10 tracks from Closes Vol. 1, Hooper Bay, Acid Memories, etc. What tracks would you pick? I guess you just have to go by the track titles and pick ones you find most mysterious and interesting! Here's my list:

1. Stry Craty Bya
2. Focus On The Spiral
3. Tends Towards
4. Stowed Under
5. Godever
6. Point Hope
7. Found The Way
8. True Map
9. Echo The Sun
10. Infinite Lines of Colorful Sevens

... The future boxset, please have these tracks!

I'd say, "Keep em, but you can let me listen to 10 NEW songs".

I would let them pick since I don't know all those old tracks very well at all.

Good idea.

I think from my perspective I have some idea of what I think some of the tracks may have become later on so in my mind I want to hear those tracks if only just to see if I might be right. Echo the Sun for example could very well have become Open the Light. The song titles are very similar. Given the guitar sound present in Wouldn't You Like to be Free some of the songs on Play By Numbers could well have become songs on Campfire. Given their tendencies to reuse songs later it doesn't seem beyond reason to speculate this might be the case. Other songs like Infinite Sevens simply sound like they might be truly epic so I want to hear them for that reason alone.

Yes.

I wouldn't choose particular tracks just because of their names. I mean, they could have a really awesome track that I'd never hear because its title didn't sound interesting to me.

I agree, I never found "Sunshine Recorder" to be that interesting of a title, but that song is probably in my top 10. I actually used to skip it a lot when I first got Geogaddi because I didn't expect much from it's title.

I have heard at least 10, but was not told the names of them. Good stuff, even then.

Absolutely sure. Held the cassettes in my hand...hand written labels by the Sandisons. Should not share more than that...my apologies.
