i dont know why but his music infuriates me beyond anyones ability to do so (minus my dad)....it just seems so fucking pretentious and forced...its like electronica for first graders or something....mind you i have no feelings remotely similar to ANY other artist out there...just him....and i told him that too..and he responded...and i apologized....and i dont know where this comes from...

i'm not a huge fan either, but i like sunrise projector.
scott's a sound bloke, but i think a lot of his exposure is down to 'ISO50'
which is a shame because he's a lot more into his tunes than his posters apparently.

I hear what you're saying, Hills. I've come to feel that way about a lot the vocal samples he puts in his tunes. But sometimes he hits on something.. especially in his song "Systems." I like that one. I only asked b/c I wondered if your beef was solely artistic or if it was personal. You know, just curious.

Despite all that flaming, I still would buy some of his tunes if he'd make them available to me.

No explanation of bit rate + no CD availability + non-responsive customer service= I will not buy.

I'm kind of a deeply principled person when it comes to supporting artists financially. But you gotta meet me half-way, you know?

He he this made me laugh, I think it is something to do with this place, I dont know but I heard him quite some time ago, when I was more active on here and I remember thinking he was almost like a pretend plastic artist than a real person with any kind of feeling for his music.

And about your dad, I can relate SO much at the moment. Im thinking about locking him in his room with loops of BOC music in order to chill him out!

You are all nuts. Tychos' music is really good. I love the album, and have met Chachi Jones @ Robot Speak in San Francisco, he worked on the album, they are all chill as f*** and very talented artists.

Off topic, but the track "Clear" by Chachi Jones is awesome. To bad the rest of the album sucks.

i always thought tycho's first disc had kind of a digital aesthetic and i wasn't into it, but i'm willing to give his next a listen

I like Tycho's music too. I do think at times that it's too glossed over, a little too perfect. His talent impresses me in all it's forms. Do I get the same feeling listening to Tycho that I do from BOC or Hills West? nope.

That's a serious lol right there. Boc has about 20 years of music experience over Tycho so that's virtualy impossible. I have'nt heard any of his stuff, and frankly I don't want to.

Tycho's new single with The Daydream / The Disconnect was released today.

His music sounds very much like BoC without the creepy/unnerving qualities... and his denial of any BoC influence just irks me to the core.
