Can't say I've ever dreamt of this bloke at all, but it's interesting.
Quite why thousands of people are all dreaming about the late, great André Maranne - star of the Pink Panther movies (and one famous episode of Fawlty Towers) - is beyond me.

EDIT: I just noticed my Stanley Kubrick avatar isn't exactly unlike him...

Haven't dreamt of this bloke before. I looked at him for 10 minutes this morning, hoping when i'd get to sleep, he'd turn up in my dreams... but never did. :(

That's scary. I don't really want to see this dude in my dreams.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if this was just some sort of hoax (or experiment) to see if the perpetrators can start some sort of phenomenon. I mean, read the story, it's pretty vague, and sounds like some sort of a setup.

EDIT: My original thoughts are proven to be spot-on. The creator of "this man", Andrea Natella, is director of a marketing firm which "[creates] fictitious events or campaigns reaching the limits of legality, through which they 'fuck the market in order to enter it'."

Agreed, it seems a little shady. Perhaps it's a psychological experiment to see how pictures, words and stories effect our dreams and sleep in general..

Not at all. Heck all you did was post the link!

I actually looked into it because it was freaking me out too much to believe it was true. And thus, I found relief in the proof. 8)

hahaha! that's intensely creepy

and this thread is really interesting. I'm fascinated by viral scams and dissemination that relies on word of mouth. the fact that this one is packaged in something like some mad strange but true/twin peaks mashup just makes it even more perfect for me

cheers numerator!

I wouldn't have found it all that amazing if it was true. He looks utterly unremarkable.

The concept of an "every man" has been around hundreds of years and featured in a lot of plays. To think the same concept might exist subconsciously isn't a stretch at all.
