i think the beautiful place out in the country ep is funny. "afdkljas a religious community in a beautiful place out in the country." also, one of the pictures is of david koresh haha

Lol, how is that funny?

I think its a bit unsettling more than anything.

Also, 'Amo Bishop Roden' was a senior figure in Koresh's Brangh Davidians if I remember correctly. There's some dark undercurrents in this EP fo' real.

To be honest, I think it's very depressing in a "missed opportunities while younger" type of way, although that does not have much to do with the subject matter the ep seems to be hinting at.

In sumary, I do not find it very funny.....and I have a sick sense of humor too....

i thought it was funny because someone had told me about it, and then, i saw the picture of david koresh's eye; and i had to laugh. it's ironic because it was proof that it's true.

i got one sample of koresh negotiating with CIA on the day davidians got killed.
pretty amazing to hear a snippet of the situation...and not to mention the outerbody experiene i had with the 1969 track.

well,i didn't have the 1969 track on my copy of geogaddi for some time and i heard it over the helter skelter show from france. (davidac had the link posted on his site).
before i managed to get a hold of that track i was deep into researching the waco massacre and boards in general...closely listening to music, corresponding with david and that sort of things.
while digging online for some koresh information and forensic pictures of waco i put the 1969 track on winamp to play...heh,this is trippin' me out while i'm write this, lol.
i dunno,i had this massive outerbody experience...it's like i projected myself during 69' and managed to feel the pain and suffer of the davidians.
it's maybe hard to understand for the others, but their music had a deep impact on me...not just on the listener state, but through various things, the way of thinking and so on.

i still strongly believe that Boards of Canada are the only band i know who can project real feelings and places through music.
