I've taken some crap for it before but I really am looking forward to that box set, probably more than the new material. A Boards of Canada BOX SET just tickles me in a great way, more so than just an album. Teenage BoC tracks originally recorded on cassette tapes. 'Infinite Lines of Colorful Sevens' ... there is no way, no matter what it sounds like that it could be a disappointment! I think the thing is with new material, there are certain expectations. This old stuff will be looked at from a more positive perspective I think because there is less of a standard because it's so old. It will be new to us I guess. But, all we can do is wait for now... sigh

And I know Alex in person, if anyone cares in the slightest.

Looking forward to the boxed set. New album would be great too, but there is nothing like the sound of those Old Tunes tapes. Music made in a vacuum for the simple joy of it, without the added weight of expectation resting upon it.
