umm, i think Kaen is just a fan of his stuff that made up the 'archive' site. Wisp's name is Reid Dunn, though i think he may be on WATMM as well? not sure...

i'm interested in checking this out; but where should i begin?

actually, the only thing i've downloaded from there so far is 'about things that never were' so i'll say start with that. i was listening the other night thinking 'man, this stuff is top notch in many ways'. i think there's a bit of variety in his work (i think he also does some drill n' bass type stuff lately), but i like this style best.

i have most of wisp's stuff, he's REALLY talented, i'm glad sublight has picked him up

yeah, i guess he's got another album coming out on Sublight already in june.

I just listened to some samples over at the Sublight site and I gotta say there's nothing really amazing there. Some of it sounds ok, but it's a little to drum & bassey for my tastes. I tried to download an album from Kaens site, but I can't open the file. Anyone recomend a more chilled out album?

like i said, try 'about things...'. i'm not into dnb or drillcore myself either. i'll try to recommend others once i've listened more, his stuff is a bit varied.

"About things that never were" is nice (ok, AFX clone, but a good one), "In a blue face" is in the same vein, and you can stream this one before downloading: http://www.earstroke.com.

The netlabel jungle is such a jungle, it's not easy to find gems, so thanks for the recommendation (when I say "gem", I mean albums or EPs you will listen more than one time only, that you'll recommend to friends, and that you may even want to burn on a cdr, which is the case here).
