The title of the "yet another year" topic to me has a total different meaning. Yet another year(period) of repeating topics with basically the same subject, again and again. We chose not to close this topic because everytime another, almost the same, topic pops up.

It's a bit frustrating to see the same thing being discussed over and over again so I think it's time to start one sticky moan, bash, vent topic. Once it's up all other new album related topics will be closed or deleted.

Shit like this is what makes me cynical and cruel when it comes to these threads and the things people say in them. It's shit like this that makes me post things like "Are you guys seriously insane?" I'm seeing a therapist, I know I have problems, but at least I've got a grip on my own priorities and values. THEY'RE A BAND. If it's "so frustrating" that you can't listen to new music from them and you feel compelled to spill malignant nonsense like the above thread all over this forum, YOU NEED SOME ELECTRO-SHOCK. I'm starting to be tipped past the point of giving two shits and a rusty nail what anyone on this board thinks about my attitude towards the "WHY WON'T THEY GIVE US AN UPDATE, HERE'S MY CONSPIRACY THEORY" camp who post here. You guys are cancer. Stop it.

Well in my opinion it shouldn't be closed down, I mean now and then somebody discovers a sample which people didn't know yet, stuff like that is always fun to discuss. However I'm getting kind of sick of the they-owe-us/they-dont-owe-us stuff. I think a sticky would be good indeed, and whenever the new album drops, this subforum will be completely active again. There's nothing wrong with discussing a little Boards now and then, so don't close this subforum.

Just cut the bullshit down to 50% instead of 99%.

There are enough non new album related topics so closing the whole subforum is a bit too rigorous.

Yep, portiss pretty much nailed it, I think. The sticky is a great idea for what seems to be a communal frustration with BoC. But the subforum should stay, too.

I'm not sure a sticky would solve it as every time one of these threads pops up it is usually by a newbie who isn't used to a forum where you search for existing similar threads or by some genius who think they have a unique perspective on the issue. Having said that, I don't have any better ideas so why not give it a try? I usually make an effort to just not get involved but sometimes I bite because the inane stupidity of it all gets to me. Either way, I don't think it will be stopped but this idea may reduce it a little.

I just remember him saying dates etc and nothing happening ever, as usual with a bog standard band like BoC.

Anyone on here remember that guy from amsterdame or somewhere that was a member on here up untill 2004/5 or so and 'killed' himself and we all beleived it happened and turned out he was pulling all our legs? What was his name again MDG?

that was D4verD4nn, then he deleted that name and reregistered by another name, which i cant remember. that guy was the biggest flamer of all time. Some sort of update would be nice, but I'm almost beyond caring at this point. On a tangent I listened to Twoism yesterday.

antagonizing MDG, a guy you've never met, for a response he doesn't owe you, doesn't seem like a profitable course of action. are you just doing this to feel better about yourself or something? i don't think you're dumb; you must know you're not going to get a response by going out into the wilderness and screaming I AM HERE MDG, WHERE ARE YOU? you know what, screw it.

Generalizations are a dangerous game, but the activity lately suggests that it's only a dwindling number of people anymore who believe that 'MDG' is the person he says he is to begin with. Of course that sample may be biased by all of the lurkers lately jumping out of the shadows to say so.

This subforum is the lifeblood of the site. I'm sure that Twoism would linger on to some degree should BoC officially announce a retirement, but I'd say that it's this part of the board that draws us to congregate here to begin with.

Yeah, when there's something to say besides "fuck you MDG" and "they owe us a record, i ripped out all my pubes cuz I need more BoC now i'm suing them for neglecting me!"

A sticky one would be great, then I would have only one topic which I don't want to check. Now I just avoid the entire subforum most of the time, because it's always the same -> not interesting at least.
