I took mine down cause I was so sick of staring at the same stupid hipster shit on my feed. Hot girls looking bored at parties on a Polaroid is not original. Actually, nothing is original anymore.

Haha. I can't say that my reasons for deleting mine are the same, but you are right, the content was a bit redundant. However, there are a few blogs I've bookmarked on Tumblr that have captured my interest.

Never understood the idea. People repost content that isn't theirs and usually without explanation. What's the point? I come across a good image or two once in a while that's linked from tumblr but that's about it.
Is it like your personal space where you are allowed to be deep, emotional and artistic in public without being mocked?

That's exactly the point. Posts of original content - media or just text - are few and far between. Tumblr has served as a sort of faux social networking site (as opposed to a blog site) for the last three-four years where thinking for oneself is heavily discouraged by people smarter than you.
From what I can gather, it seems to be a very popular place to hang out for loads of 13-33 year old (apparent) geniuses.
(just don't ever go against the grain)
