RIP: Leslie Nielsen, the narrator in BoC's track Dandelion

He passed away in a Fort Lauderdale, Florida hospital for pneumonia surrounded by his family and friends today around 5:30pm.

Brilliantly funny guy, and not to sound ignorant but i had no idea about this Boc connection until now. He will be missed.

I loved Police Squad and the first Airplane! movie was a classic.
The first time I heard his dulcet tones on Dandelion was a welcome surprise too.
At least we still have those, and other movies etc to remind us how great he was.

I remember watching Police Squad on TV back when I was a young kid. I thought it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. When it was canceled after only a few episodes, I was floored--how could something so wonderful NOT succeed? And thus my initiation into the banality of popular culture had begun.

They released the episodes on DVD a few years back I believe, been meaning to check it out ever since..
