Looks like Boards' Myspace page has a new layout:

contemplating on doing the same...ok, so a majority of people did leave with the rise of facebook, but nonetheless there was a really nice selection of musicians still active on the website...its a complete shambles at the moment. ah well.isawdrones wrote:just canceled my account, this site is done for. they keep digging themselves deeper into a hole with each update.
it was awesome like 04 -07, i could feel a little community, people were excited about creating layouts and identities for their pages etc... all of that's gone now in my perception. The navigation got so convoluted that i think it kind of killed the communities and discussions. Its just ugly too,..they are putting this mask of pseudo-hip minimalism over this system that is designed really poorly at the fundamental level.bleak. wrote:contemplating on doing the same...ok, so a majority of people did leave with the rise of facebook, but nonetheless there was a really nice selection of musicians still active on the website...its a complete shambles at the moment. ah well.isawdrones wrote:just canceled my account, this site is done for. they keep digging themselves deeper into a hole with each update.
I wonder how Boards feels about the re-arrangement. It definitely has a different feel without the sunset background and stuff. Are there any people in the Hexagon Sun collective that are into graphic/web design? I'm just curious because I think BoC could really benefit from an elegantly designed website. I hate how everything to do with Boards is scattered across half a dozen different sites.Fredd-E wrote:isn't it just the site wide new myspace beta layout?
Besides the fact that there is almost no information on it and it apparently has not been updated in years, it looks like it was designed in 1998. I think it could be much more creative. It would be nice if they had a single site with band info, music, videos, art, etc. that was completely designed by them or someone close to them.softfokus wrote:what's wrong with www.boardsofcanada.com ?
