just the new myspace layout, they should have kept it old skool.
Myspace is a dead place anyways, and the new layout makes me sick, i cant go on myspace anymore without feeling sick and confussed.

i actually think the new layout is miles better than it was before.. it's definitely less ugly and more neat/clean

I think it tries hard to be all web 2.0. am I the only one who prefers simple layouts more akin to "web 1.0"? Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

contemplating on doing the same...ok, so a majority of people did leave with the rise of facebook, but nonetheless there was a really nice selection of musicians still active on the website...its a complete shambles at the moment. ah well.

it was awesome like 04 -07, i could feel a little community, people were excited about creating layouts and identities for their pages etc... all of that's gone now in my perception. The navigation got so convoluted that i think it kind of killed the communities and discussions. Its just ugly too,..they are putting this mask of pseudo-hip minimalism over this system that is designed really poorly at the fundamental level.

Its been great not going on this last year and a half. I don't think there should be this one centralized site where every artist on the face of earth has a page, and we can share everything. Music shouldn't be so accessible and homogenized. Artists need to figure out a way of making things inaccessible in a way where its still open, i don't know. I like Soundcloud alot..its like "hey i made this waveform, check it out". thats how it should be...fuck pages

This quickly turned into a 'Myspace is dead and post why you think so' thread.

I wonder how Boards feels about the re-arrangement. It definitely has a different feel without the sunset background and stuff. Are there any people in the Hexagon Sun collective that are into graphic/web design? I'm just curious because I think BoC could really benefit from an elegantly designed website. I hate how everything to do with Boards is scattered across half a dozen different sites.

Besides the fact that there is almost no information on it and it apparently has not been updated in years, it looks like it was designed in 1998. I think it could be much more creative. It would be nice if they had a single site with band info, music, videos, art, etc. that was completely designed by them or someone close to them.

yeah. it needs more flash so that every time i go there my pc will freeze and ram will catch on fire.

it looks just fine, come on. bands stopped doing elaborated sites like 5 years ago, and it's boc we're talking about here. also, everything you need is on bocpages.

first post, btw. hi all!

Lol + Heya.

As for the website:

Im just going to throw this out there, why doesnt someone try and get in contact with the members to arrange a new site competition? Like the Oneontwoism microsite competition. Or the fan made video compo.

Its such a long shot, but if it were to happen that would be amazing.

Isnt that also the kind of 'can do' comunity spirit that the boc folks like?

MySpace sucks so much it makes me want to pee on my own socks and then put them on, in the cold weather.
