A few old tunes: i think i'm listening to a fake version

Hi all. I've searched the boc pages for info on AFOT fakes but all i could do was compare tracktitles and duration with my mp3s (which indeed do not match up)
would anyone be willing to give this a listen and perhaps ID some or all of these tracks? There is some really amazing stuff in here so I would love to know what it is.
Also, i'm wondering how it was established that the version we all recognize as being legit, is indeed the real thing.
Hopefully not breaking any laws by linking to this material. if i am, please let me know so i can edit post and PM the link to anyone who is interested.

That trapped you posted is BoC track yeah but its Wrongly named. The real name is 5-9-78 as you will find out from the originals that I just posted there. That She Is P I dont know but the real She Is P sounds like this :

well if anyone has it i'd appreciate a link. for now i'll just make a single wav file and record that way. the gaps are just irritating, proper fades would be nice

My Old Tunes Vol. 2 is off timed completely. I'd like a "properly" split version to download.

Hello, sorry to sound so clueless but, well, I am so here I go anyway... What do you mean by "Properly split"?

Hmmm...how to explain this...
It's like when the person that recorded the continuous cassette rip, they didn't devide the songs correctly. And I'm stuck with 1 track having 3 songs playing after another.
If the timing on Bocpages is correct, then mine isn't properly split, or named. And I want it to be "right."

see this interests me because i am sure there are actually TWO rips of one of the old tunes tapes and one is almost certainly higher quality than the other. the version that most have, and which ended up on youtube, is lower quality than another rip that seems to be going around. yellow, could you post your copy of OT for my arcane interest?

the two i have dug up on this forum, one along with the entire collection as uploaded by fredd-e

and the other, apparently original copy, which is also split

Just to clear up my copy of AFOT: "Happy Cycling" is 1:50 on my version and sounds NOTHING like the "Happy Cycling" on the MHARTC record. Is this correct?

Totally. That old version is a total barge. I can't think of any comparatives.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it a version at all. All they did was just take the name of the song and gave it to the one on MHTRTC. Other than the name, they both are completely unrelated to each other musically.

well, you can notice this by a fact, that the second 'happy cycling' was called 'bad day' by the time peel session was recorded. i guess they just care abou titlles.

I know they care about their titles. And I do know that it was called Bad Day before the US release of MHTRTC... I got my dates confused, woops. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm really interested in this version of AFOT that you posted. It's full of songs from other tapes - but in every case they're a higher quality than the rip i've been listening to for years.
