Well I've just listened once through and I must say I enjoyed it. I don't think you need me list who I think your influences were, other people should at least give this a listen. I think I'm going to give it another listen through again now as the only track I found really memorable was " The First Step". That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the others, it just that they are very atmospheric so I almost forgot that I was listening. (again, dont take this as criticism, I listen to a lot of music that is atmospheric a la William Basinski, Celer etc...)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I thought "Ovum" is certainly amazing and memorable!

I like this more than most releases I've heard recently. Sounds so homemade and experimental. Thanks for this. Beniled, The Things Ive seen, Ovum, Wishing With Numbers and Mata 6 are my favorites!

Actually, I wasn't even born yet in the 80's. One of the tracks was originally from a tape of my literature teacher's experimental band from the 80s. I just twisted and changed it a bit.

I don't think stuff you sampled is supposed to count towards the stated length of time taken to create something. What years did you record it between?

That was nice. I didn't connect with all of the songs. But a few did stand out and connected with me. The Birds Eye was great, a nice soft melody. Ovum sounded like a lost Old Tune. Choctoc sounded like a squarepusher song, which was good. Brad's Groove was a nice little percussive tune. The First Step has to be tied with Wishing With Numbers to be my favorite of the bunch. They're both just awesome!
All the other tracks didn't do it for me at all. But the ones that I mentioned are definitely worth a full listen through to hear.

Solid work in my opinion. Thanks for the good listen smokes.

this is absolutely true, and it never used to be that way before. but i've been here for six years and the way people use the internet, the age of the people on this forum and their attention span, the users of this forum, and peoples schedules, have changed greatly since then.

nothing wrong with new folk (or young folk!), i guess some things just change. i'm pretty sure i'll be around for another 6 years enjoying all of you peoples' amazing music.

don't ever stop.

It's really strange to go through all of the old posts from years back. I wonder if any of the older members just lurk instead of posting?
