Their album is pretty good, listened to it a few times, but then I kinda forgot about it.

Yeah me too. I've listened to it several times and all I could hear was John Lennon's voice. The music was rad at times, but as an album it just never really clicked. I guess for me, it just wasn't meant to be (pun intended).
On second thought, maybe I'll give it another shot on the train tomorrow....

There's a thread somewhere on them here. I quite like them... I put them in the same category as Cut/Copy and Midnight Juggernauts

Same over here. Fav of 2010. I got so many people into this album so fast. My mother loves them. Then again she's the one that got me into that kinda music in the first place. My lullabies were mostly of the Pink Floyd nature. Gotta love psychedelic rock!

apologies if i missed a different thread about this band, i'm usually pretty good about this kind of thing. but, been loving them all day again today. their 2008 EP is much more accessible than the album initially, but both are really good.

Yes! And I have been rocking my earphones and brain with this band all day. The album, is really growing on me, one or two week tracks but it just gets better each time. The EP was like a hit of coke, whereas the album is like 'e'. It's takes a while to kick in to your brain. (^O^☆♪

I dunno if anyone else agrees, but I think Tame Impala are very similar to BoC.
I see a lot of BoC in Tame Impala.
Nostalgia, mystery, that little edgeyness which makes everything feel a little uneasy, but it's also calming and nice.

Unfortunately Innerspeaker, for me, lost a lot of its replay value during the rest of 2010. I ADORE about four songs on there, but the rest really grated on me after repeated listens. It was a stunning listen the first few times but I'm really quite disappointed it's come to that :/
Oh well, it's better than Yeasayer's train wreck

They may not be mysterious themselves, but the music is.
