Has anyone else seen this film?

If you've seen it, what do you think about it? I think it was a bit overboard but somewhat... Enlightening? A bit disgusting also.

Also, I think with the first viewing, ya kinda get the idea that he is a misogynist of sorts. But with repeated viewings, I really don't think he's purporting misogyny at all.

Anyways it's a crazy film, and I would like someone else's interpretation is all. heh.

I'm exactly the same. I do love Trier's movies though. Well, I don't know if I *love* them, but I can't really stop watching them. Dogville was brilliant, just as Europa. Same with Dancer in the Dark.

Well it's not for the squeamish... I couldn't watch part of the prologue because I have a little girl about the same age as the boy. But there's plenty of blood and other fluids, mutilation. If you guys decide to watch it, let me know what you think.

Von Trier is a pretty good filmmaker, I'm not so sure I really care for the whole dogme95 clique, but I really liked the Idiots also a fucking crazy movie lol lol. He has a new one coming out called melancholia that looks pretty good, about the end of the world, etc.

I liked the first half, very good atmosphere and tension. The second half suddenly got really bizarre (in a bad horrormovie-with-no-story-like way). Overall, I didn't think this was worth watching.

Melancholia looks good.. Think I'll give that one a shot in the future.

I saw it in a local theater and was absolutely blown away. All the hype surrounding this film had me in a state of anxiety and feeling nauseous before the film even started but it became such an engrossing watch that I was completely absorbed by everything on screen.

Recently there was another film, 'Enter the void' ,which left me feeling somewhat the same; that is not necessarily feeling the need to judge it as good or bad. Antichrist is an experience. It is beautiful yet horrifying and I'm not really recommending it to anyone. The only advice from me is to try and not get too carried away with all the negative publicity that surrounds this film. Watch it when you're determined and focused. In any case it's likely to leave a long lasting impression.

HAhahahahahahaha. Yeah. Or how about when she put that rock/stone through his leg? Or how about the scissor scene? Or how about the fox eating itself? Actually, when the fox said "chaos reigns" I laughed, it just looked fake as hell.

Something tells me he wasn't going for realism there. Also, nice going with the spoilers everyone ;)
