the real sounding snares, hi hats and crashes don't really work with the electronic kick.
the vocals aren't bad, but I don't think they suit the track.
there's little bits in the melodies that are nice to catch
and the thing that sounds like a solo should be on its own, not sung over. I wasn't paying attention to the vocals at all then.
Overall it's not a bad track, I admit it never bored me, it kept me interested to where it was gonna go, but its structure was a tad predictable and it didn't really have anything for me to go back and listen to for a second time.
Overall an average track.
Keep up the good work though, I'm interested to hear your album. maybe that track works better in the context of the album.

Man, very nice! :D.. I really loved those vocals, also.. The drums were pretty nice, how'd you develop that? (without giving away any secrets, I mean hehe)

More please! :D

What a great teaser, this gets me hungry for more. Any idea when it'll be released Roy?

Thanks for the great feedback guys :)

@JosephG: I tried to go for an authentic drum sound, by using samples from a not to clean sounding kit. The kick was meant to give the entire drum sound a much more electronic feel.

@Aesthetics: im aiming to finish at the end of june / beginning of july. Summer release should be possible! :)

Feels almost like a spammer (which is not my intention at all!), but im bumping my own thread again.

I did a postrock, ambient kind of piece last week, which you can listen to here:

It is influenced by Godspeed you black emperor, Yann Tiersen, and some Tool-like rhythm structures. Always great to get feedback :)

Really like those drums.

Also, nice vocoder.

I've just finished another song which i wrote for my sister a long time ago. A good friend of mine was willing to provide vocals on it, and im pretty happy with it. Would be great if anyone would take a listen :)

Lovely mild sqp influence on this one and nice break at 3:27!

[picky mode]For some reason I find the vocals to be sitting on top rather than being part of the song. [/picky mode]

Will you be posting all the tracks of your album this way?

Thanks for listening guys :), and for the comments. I will take everything with me when i do all the final editing!

@Aesthetics: im guessing most of my songs will be upped like this, id like to keep a few gems hidden for the final album though, otherwise there's no surprise at all :)

I really like it. A lot! The only reason the bass drum doesnt work is because there is a different reverb on it and its slightly quiter than the acoustics. It can work, I've heard it done and it'll be great!
