Just uploaded a little re-edit of Pete Standing Alone, its not too different from the original but I tryed to make it abit dischordant and sound a little bit sinister, see what people think, the less abuse the better would be good, i'm not trying to ruin BOC, I promise!

How did you mess with the melody like this? Are there Pete Standing Alone multitracks somewhere? Some parts sound completely different than they do on Children. Good job!

Sorry dude, I don't like it at all. Some parts are just way, way off tune. Other parts are just taken straight from the original song. So if I want to hear those parts, I'll just go listen to the original. Again, I'm sorry, but I think it's important to be honest.

It sounded very interesting to me, an appropriate remix I think... Good job!

Whoa that's really cool. There are a few parts that don't work in my opinion but overall it sounds really interesting.

Yer, thanks for all the comments, its abit mashed together and bits are out of tune but sort of adds to the character of it, and yer, I probably agree, alot of it is not very different to the original, if somehow I could get hold of the original individual parts of the track

i'd make a better go of it, 'interesting' is good though, thanks

That's the only track up on your soundcloud page. Do you have more music? I'd like to hear some of your own stuff if possible.

this was abit of a one-off tbh, I love music and have a few bits on my old computer but not much i'd feel is good enough to upload, there is one track thats ok so I can try and upload that sometime, i'm better at video production than sound but once I get the hang of ableton i'll try and upload some stuff, don't hold your breath tho...

I think that's really awesome man, it almost sounds like this could have been the original version (to me, don't get on my ass if you disagree).

A good attempt, but the chords you're using seem to have little logical connection with each other and don't really evoke any emotional response.

I like it.
Something like this could be used at the end of a hectic song to be indicative of structure breaking down.

alright, cheers, I'll work on my chords, i'll probably re-do the track at a later date, try making some different stuff aswell, as long as 1 person likes it, thats ok

It's fine, in my opinion.
But that's just me.
Before I took interest in IDM, I'd listened to many genres and got heavily involved in a few, one of which was old school Industrial, a genre which thrives on dissonance and doesn't care one bit that the "chords don't make any logical sense" together. Through illogical, comes the experience to make logic out of it. Industrial and Noise music basically served as a gateway for me to become not easily thrown off by music and to see every genre fairly, based on how much a song intrigues me, not the elements.
That being said, I do like it. However, it should probably be short. Dissonance is perfect at certain times, usually for no more than a couple minutes during those times.

Couldn't find a better topic.
"Haunted House" by Kaito Shoma is a so-called "phonk" track sampling intro pads of Pete Standing Alone. I actually quite like it! As do other 23k people (of 2 million viewers)

This is one of those BoC you just shouldn't mess with.
