What does "Geogaddi" mean to you?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but... Since Geogaddi's title was supposed to be subjective and up to us to decide the meaning, what do you think about it?

Also, what does it say to you? The culmination of the album and the overall message it conveys.

For me, based on reasons I shouldn't get too far into or else I'd be writing a long wall, it either has something to do with the devil/some sort of evil entity and death. This might be common.

It's my favorite Boards album collectively, without a doubt. Just want to know what you guys think.

I know there is a thread already about this, but I am too lazy to look it up. So screw it.

To me it's a journey of life. Ready let's go is the creation of a life, being born. The ending being the crossover into the unknown with Corsair, floating in blackness feeling the wind and energy flowing all around you. The ultimate ending to a new beginning.

It is also my favorite album by BoC.

And where does FOSATD lie? To me, that seemed like either the reflection track or the "new beginning" you speak of. However, being a bonus, I'm not sure it belongs in that position of the album to begin with. Just like Happy Cycling probably shouldn't be after One Very Important Thought on MHTRTC.

Yeah I love that track too. I do think of it as a bonus song and not really apart of the story I have in my mind. But it is such a great track.

Well, for me it doesn't have a specific meaning but it's more of a word that conjures up ideas about man and his relation with nature and god. Even though nature is somehow a recurring thing in BoC's music, I think on Geogaddi is one of the central focus, theme-wise (dawn choruses, math, etc) and texture-wise (the sound not only sounds old, it has the sound of technology being destroyed by nature).

In my mind, "Geogaddi," means "Multiverse."

Geogaddi to me means connection to earth and nature. That everthing is finally linked back to earth.

"Geogaddi" is just a record I put on to escape from reality because out of all of the BoC releases, that and IABPOITC relax and clear my mind. And clearing my mind means not overthinking, so Geogaddi means nothing to me, but everything, all in the same.

Geogaddi is using the last remaining fragments of recordings left by humans before the apocalypse in an invocation to puncture the veil between this world and the next.

Some great and imaginative interpretations of the album. I'm sure this is exactly what the brothers wanted to happen.

I find it the easiest to escape to, I suppose because the mental imagery it conjures up is more overtly claustrophobic and 'evil' if that makes sense. It took a LOT of listens of Music Has The Right to figure out how dark of an album it was, and I guess that's why it's my favourite. Like, the meaning of every BoC album to me is a long kind of trip which you can either sit back and enjoy as background music or really pick apart to notice subtleties. They're totally interpretory. Geogaddi to me stands as the one which definitely has a disturbing overtone to it which I can stick on to really be spooked by. It requires a lot more concentration to pick apart the spookiness of other releases.

I don't know if this made sense
