Any other big TTA fans out there?

If so, I'd like to hear which album or song is your favorite, what direction you think the band may go in next (or would've gone in next if Charlie Cooper were still with us, R.I.P.), etc.

'Map of what is Effortless' is all I have by them. Lovely tunes for sure. Got any other recommendations after that one?

"Immolate Yourself" is brilliant. Their earlier music is also quite good, but Immolate is on an entirely different level, I think. The sound of it is significantly different, at the least: Immolate Yourself was produced on all analogue equipment and so they ended up using a completely different set of techniques for writing and producing than on their earlier records which had a more digital, 'modern' style.

Telefon Tel Aviv are one of my favourites of all time.

Map of What Is Effortless is without a doubt my top pick from their collection. The tracks What It Was Will Never Again and Bubble and Spike are superb. Sound In A Dark room off Immediate Action will give you your glitch fix for the day. Immolate Yourself took some time to grow on me but now I love it. The Birds is a great way to start anything.

Of course Immolate Yourself will always be special. I recall the sad news about Charlie Cooper perhaps only a day prior to the album being released. Absolute Tragedy.

Spot on! And I think the beautiful twist is that some of the tracks from this album behave more like modern pop songs.

Same here. Immolate Yourself was the first TTA I was exposed to, and although "The Birds" is an amazing track, Map of What Is Effortless is really what blew me away. "I Lied" and "At the Edge of the World You Will Still Float" are my favorite tracks from it.

Whoever reviewed that album on Pitchfork obviously didn't know what they were doing. 6.3, my ass.

I was a late comer to these guys. I started with Immolate Yourself. Absolutely love Helen of Troy. But I did eventually go through their whole catalog and really love their first release too.

Long time twoism reader - But wanted to chime in here as a tremendous fan of Telefon. I still consider their first record one of my absolute favorites. I'm always searching for artists with a similar style and just yesterday I ran into this one: Born of Water.

http://bornofwatermusic.com/ - Looks like they only have one song up and a remix right now. But the song Refuge has a very strong telefon vibe. Especially the vocalist. Just thought I'd share with fans of that ambient/electronic/pop style.

Helen of Troy is great. Reminds me of Take on Me by A-ha.

'Immolate Yourself' is unbelievable... I was made aware of this promo video the other day:
