Warp Stock Destroyed

i just got a BOC transmission tweet sent to my phone with a link, i was very excited, then read this news. Think BOC is secretly affected?

In any case we know that the album will not be out until after BoCtober.

Yeah, it's on Facebook too.
I'm sincerely hoping that any new album affected would also be backed up and locked away in that nuclear bunker/highland croft/semi-detached in New Zealand that we hear all the rumours about.
As to their back catalogue - I'm equally hopeful that those tapes, cds, flacs are all locked away in Hexagon Sun.
MDG? Anything you can say on this??!?

I assume they have copious back-ups of everything they've created. This goes for all bands affected by the fire. The problem is the final product will have to be re-produced.
I also assume, after reading the WARP announcement that didn't mention BOC, that BOC was not affected.

No worries about the new album as I'd say its unlikely that the album would be physically at a warehouse before a release date is set, since if a new release is already at at a warehouse its due to be distributed. Unless of course all the production was finished but some legal wrangle delayed the release and it was sitting in wait for things to be sorted. God that would be a kick in the nads/flaps if the album was done and dusted but got all bornt up!!!!

The fact that it even posted on the BoC page makes me think that they really do have a new album now and it is only a matter of time.

Hmmmm. Maybe it is telling that 2hr hours ago the second ever BoC transmisson tweet was made. Why would it justify a tweet if it didnt directly relate to a release? Genuine hint at the status of the release or a smoke screen to extend the date yet further? Unless its out of solidarity for the label. I need to get some air!!!!!

NOW THIS would be a prime time for MDG to step in and give us some news. Anything. But he's probably bust doing something. It must be a tense time for everyone involved with Warp.

For the record, BoC have had previous tweets, mostly having to do with debunking rumors. But they were deleted not long after. Still though, it may be related to a release. I agree, it would be helpful if mdg made a comment on this.

It's related to BOC in that all of Warps back catalogue stock (Including all BOC releases) were destroyed. I think that's all there is to it.

I am assuming as far as BoC back stock goes it was CDs that were destroyed? Considering they don't sell/repress their vinyl anymore. CDs or not, still depressing that happened.

I don't think anyone thought that. More knowing that their back stock of BoC CDs were destroyed, Twoism through Trans Canada Highway. At least that's what I thought.

BoC are on Warp.
Warp's stock was just destroyed.
BoC probably know people who work at Warp.
BoC probably know artists who are signed to Warp that have been affected.
Everyone at Warp must be stressed out.
I'm sure BoC are stressed as well.
As a result of all of that, my money is on the fact that BoC posted about the incident because of how close to home the incident (and incidents similar to this) hit to their careers, their art, their colleagues, their fans, and their friends.
Not some weird indication and cryptic possibility of a new album. That'd be a pretty insensitive way to promote your product, I think.
